Devanahalli Locality Guide

There is a lot of history behind Devanahalli. Around 1501 AD, the town was built. Malla Baire Gowda built the first mud fort here during the time of the Vijayanagara Empire.

Tipu Sultan was born in Devanahalli, which makes it famous. "Tiger of Mysore" was his name. Back in the 1800s, he was born close to Devanahalli Fort.

There are both an old and a new past in Devanahalli today. New roads, jobs, and projects are making the area grow.

Devanahalli is in North Bengaluru. This area is linked to Bengaluru city by good roads. NH-44 (Old Bellary Road), the Satellite Town Ring Road (STRR), and the IVC Road are all important roads that are close to Devanahalli.

Around 1,000 acres make up the KIADB Hi-Tech Defence & Aerospace Park. The main focus of this park will be on aerospace manufacturing and maintenance, repair, and enhancement (MRO) activities. It's linked to businesses like Centum Electronics, HAL, Dynamatic Technologies, and Thyssenkrupp Aviation.

IT businesses will move to the planned IT Investment Region (ITIR) and KIADB IT Parks. Furthermore, they will support the growth of hardware parks and research centers in the region.

The proposed Global Financial District and Science Park will bring study centers, banks, and financial institutions to Devanahalli.

There are a lot of schools, hospitals, stores, and shops in Devanahalli. A few schools are about 5 to 8 km away. These include Presidency School, Akash International School, and Cambridge Public School.

If someone is sick, they can go to a nearby hospital. It is about 25 km to get to Aster CMI Hospital (Hebbal). Columbia Asia Referral Hospital (Hebbal), Apollo Clinic, Devanahalli, and Akash Super Speciality Hospital are some other hospitals and centers in the area.

Shops and markets sell things that people need every day. You can get things here from Reliance Fresh, DMart Devanahalli, Drogher's Hub Supermarket, and Natures Bee Healthy Products.

There are a lot of people buying homes in Devanahalli. It's getting bigger thanks to the airport and the new companies.

The main reasons for the growth are the expansion of Kempegowda International Airport, the building of Terminal 2, the creation of BIAL Airport City, and funding from Foxconn and SAP Labs.

Prestige KIADB is a new pre-launched housing project by Prestige Group in KIADB Phase 2, Devanahalli.

People can choose 1, 2, or 3 BHK apartments. The sizes will be from 550 sq. ft. to

1,750+ sq. ft.

The price of a 1 BHK starts at ₹70 lakh. A 2 BHK starts at ₹1.00 crore onwards. A 3 BHK starts at ₹1.55 crore onwards.

RERA registration is under process. The project is expected to be ready by 31 December 2031.

Pros

The prices of homes here are 30–50% less than in central Bengaluru.

People can get properties of the same size and quality for less money.

The air is better there. There is not as much traffic. It is also easy to get to the airport.

Cons

It can take 60 to 90 minutes each way to get to places like Whitefield, Koramangala, and Electronic City during rush hours.

Devanahalli is still getting bigger. Compared to Indiranagar and Koramangala, there aren't as many places to shop and have fun.
